Ironically enough, this debate is literally making me sick.

Soo.. it’s okay to fork over trillions of dollars to fund the murder of thousands of innocent people overseas, and to bail out failing banks, and for countless other unjust causes, but when it comes to doing the same to help sick people it becomes “Whoa man, that money is -mine.- Hands off.”

Right then.

Well, to me and most of the western world, basic health care -is- a fundamental human right, and shouldn’t have to be earned. It’s positively barbaric to think otherwise. I would gladly pay more in taxes to ensure the health and safety of my fellow Americans. Even if it takes a decade to work out all the wrinkles. The same way i’m happy to pay taxes for clean drinking water, and a police force. A nation is only as strong as its weakest link, after all. Right?

Why jump up and down about paying for health care and not these other things? I don’t get it. Why isn’t anyone making this much of a fuss over public education? I don’t have any kids, why should i pay for some lazy couple’s kids to go to school- they should just work harder and put their kids in a private school! Everyone should! And if they can’t they’re just not trying hard enough. They just don’t -want- it enough. Right? It’s the same argument. Why this issue? Why not any other publicly funded enterprise?

Ohh right; because they don’t have a multi-billion dollar industry funding a national propaganda campaign -against- them. Hm.
